About US
The choir performs three concerts a year with professional singer soloists and musicians. It's a wonderful opportunity to be able to take part in these performances. During our 2022/23 season we performed Cecilia McDowall's Magnificat & J S Bach Magnificat. The Armed Man: a mass for peace by Karl Jenkins and Purcell's The Fairy Queen.
Our 2023/24 season of concerts began with Verdi's Requiem - a collaboration with Sussex Symphony Orchestra and Sussex Chorus. For our Spring concert we performed Dvorak's Mass and Faure's Requiem, in the summer our concert was music on the theme of the sea with participation from students of Varndean School, Brighton.
Our first concert of 2024, on 7th December, was a delightful programme of lesser known carols; Finzi's In terra pax and Britten's A Ceremony of Carols.
